Just some thoughts from Sunday....

First of all, last Sunday was awesome. I absolutely love the ward I'm in and I feel so blessed to be a part of it. We have some AMAZING people in my ward. Before church I started watching 17 Miracles. It is a movie about the Willie Handcart Company. My parents sent it to me to watch because my great great great grandmother Mary Hurren was apart of the Willie Handcart Company. After I watched the short clip with her in it, I realized how amazing it is to know that my great great great grandmother was apart of that. It made me really want to dig in deeper and get to know more of my ancestors. So go figure....guess what sacrament meeting was about? Ancestors, genealogy, and temple work. I realized at that moment that I should probably take that as a hint and get reading about my ancestors and getting to know them. I also realized, what better way to gain a stronger testimony of Christ and this Gospel then to read testimonies of ancestors who were so diligent and had so much faith. I'm excited to learn about my ancestors and get to know them!!

Also, during the sacrament I was reading sacrament hymns and the 3rd verse of Reverently and meekly now really stuck out to me and I absolutely love it!!

Bid thine heart all strife to cease
with they brethren be at at peace.

Oh forgive as thou wouldst be
E'en forgiven now by me.

In the solemn faith of prayer
Cast upon me all thy care.

And my spirits grace shall be
Like a fountain unto thee.

I don't even have anything to say because it is so simply put. I absolutely love every line of this verse.
