Make a plan then ask

Ether 2:25  Christ speaking to the brother of Jared "Therefore what will ye that I should prepare for you that ye may have light when ye are swallowed up in the depths of the sea?"

This chapter is where Christ and the brother of Jared are talking.  The brother of Jared asks Christ a few questions and Christ answers back.  I like the vs I shared above because Christ answered Jared back with a question instead of an answer like he'd been doing.  Jared had asked Christ how they were going to have light and even though Christ (I'm sure) new the answer wanted to see what Jared thought and what he could come up with.

How often does this happen to us???  We can go to Christ MANY times with questions and not often do they get answered right away.  Christ wants us to figure it out for ourselves first and then go to him in prayer.  If it's not supposed to work out, it wont and life goes on.  I feel like I've experience that a lot in the past two years.  I would pray and not fully receive a flat out answer so I would come up with a plan and go on with life the way I felt it should be going and trusted in the Lord that if it were right things would work and and if they weren't it wouldn't.  Even though I feel like more things haven't worked out then have, I know that they weren't supposed to work out and I have grown so much through the experiences I've been through.  I feel so inadequate to make life decisions now but I know that Christ has guided me this far and I know he will continue to, if I just do the best I can.
